OHTN conducts and funds impact-focused research that involves people living with HIV and other research users in meaningful ways and that draws on their knowledge and experience. This participation is vital to developing research questions, to anticipating challenges and to translating research findings into programs and services. To enable community engagement in research, Universities Without Walls supports capacity building amongst peer researchers and OHTN supports research initiatives to understand and address barriers to community engagement in research.
