Back to Basic Resources Online Now

If you are registered to attend the Back to Basic Conference, or simply curious about what we’ve got planned, we invite you to peruse the new resources site, which includes the video below – Sandra Gardner’s presentation “How researchers can better communicate results of scientific studies.”

This is what the conference is all about:

How can we, as basic and clinical scientists, tell the story of our research? How can community stakeholders and others use and influence the research?

In 2014, rather than holding our usual OHTN Research Conference, the Ontario HIV Treatment Network is holding a series of smaller, themed conferences.

The Back to Basic Conference will focus on helping basic scientists and clinical science researchers communicate their work to a wide range of audiences, including people living with HIV, clinicians, policy makers and research funders. There will be interactive sessions between knowledge users, stakeholders and researchers on how to present data, and how data is generated, shaped, interpreted and used.

We want to help attendees use their findings to contribute to the greater narrative of HIV research, treatment and prevention.
