Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN)
The OHTN is a non-profit funded by HIV and Hepatitis C Programs at the Ontario Ministry of Health. We’re a node of collaboration; our work brings together key partners from across the sector to improve the lives of all Ontarians living with and at risk of HIV.
Ontario Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (OACHA)
OACHA is an advisory agency of the provincial government with the mandate to provide strategic advice to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care on all aspects of HIV-related education, prevention, treatment, care and support in Ontario. In December 2023, they published:

CATIE
CATIE is Canada’s source for HIV and hepatitis C information. CATIE strengthens Canada’s response to HIV and hepatitis C by bridging research and practice. It connects healthcare and community-based service providers with the latest science and promotes good practices for prevention and treatment programs.
HIV Testing
- HIV Testing Ontario website: Resources for providers offering HIV testing, point of care testing sites and self-testing. This website includes the Ontario Guidelines for Providers offering HIV Testing, available in EN and FR
- Public Health Ontario: Resources including laboratory testing requisition forms and information, news, research, and data related to HIV in Ontario.
- Health Protection and Promotion Act: Outlines the legislative mandate of Public Health Units in Ontario, as well as the duty of health-care providers, operators of facilities, etc to report diseases of public health significance to their local PHU.
- GetAKit: Online assessment and mail-out system for sexual health services, including testing and prevention. Available services can include HIV self-tests and lab-based testing for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.
HIV Prevention
- Canadian Guideline on HIV PrEP and Non-Occupational PEP (soon to be updated)
- Ontario PrEP website: Videos and resources for providers on prescribing PrEP, supporting clients on PrEP, and paying for PrEP.
HIV Clinical Care
- Ontario HIV Clinic Network website: Coalition of HIV specialty clinics across Ontario who collaborate with one another to ensure high-quality, multi-disciplinary, patient-centered and evidence-based clinical care to people living with HIV in the province.
