Welcome to Privacy and Security Basics. Whether you are new to OCASE or have been using it a while, it is critical to know the ways to keep client data safe. Not only is it the law, demonstrating to your clients the measures you take to keep their data safe may help to build trust with your clients.
By the end of this course, you will understand:
1. What are the core principles of information security, and why are they important in OCASE?
2. As an OCASE user, what responsibilities should you fulfill to protect client information?
3. What are the organization’s responsibilities regarding information security, and how do they communicate policies?
4. Guidelines for protecting workplace access, including the importance of badges and security access cards.
5. Best practices for computing security, including password guidelines, computer usage, and email etiquette.

This course takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. You can stop and start at any time. There is a 5-question quiz at the end of the module. You must score 80% to obtain a certificate of completion.
