Report: How Criminalization is Affecting People Living with HIV in Ontario

Written in 2012, this report summarizes the findings of a research study involving participants in the OHTN Cohort Study and Positive Spaces, Healthy Places. Results explore awareness of the law among people living with HIV, perceptions of media coverage on criminalization, the impact of criminalization on everyday life, the way criminalization affects personal and professional relationships, disclosure, and HIV testing. It concludes by discussing policy implications.
