The OHTN has launched OntarioPrEP.ca, a new online hub for community members and healthcare providers to learn more about PrEP.
The website includes:
- resources to support people interested in PrEP to learn the basics about how PrEP works;
- an assessment tool to see if PrEP might be right for them;
- information about coverage options;
- a searchable clinic finder.
The healthcare provider side of the website includes short training videos about different aspects of PrEP related care, links to other learning resources, and an opportunity to connect with an experienced PrEP provider for more training.
Additionally, on September 19th, the OHTN will host a webinar featuring Dr. Kevin Woodward, who will review best practices for delivering PrEP including how to identify patient HIV risk, counselling and initiating patients on PrEP, and on-going patient follow-up.
