Abstracts

The OHTN invites abstract submissions of research in the field of HIV/AIDS to the OHTN Research Conference. OHTN funded research is especially welcome. Abstract submission opens August 5, 2013.

Abstract Presentation Formats

There are two possible formats for the presentation of accepted abstracts. Presentation format will be determined by the Conference Program Committee based on reviewer recommendations:
  • Oral Abstracts
Each oral abstract presenter will present for 10 minutes, followed by five minutes for questions. In each session, there will be three or four abstract presentations. The session moderators will strictly enforce this time structure.

  • E-Posters
Each e-poster presenter will present for five minutes, followed by two minutes for questions. E-posters are projected onto a screen for the duration of the presentation – sections of the poster may be enlarged during the presentation. E-posters are also available for viewing in the foyer throughout the conference. E-posters are intended to present high level data about your research 'at-a-glance' – they are not electronic versions of traditional posters.

Financial Support Provided

The OHTN will support the travel and accommodation costs of one presenting author from Ontario (residing outside the GTA) per accepted abstract (oral or e-poster). All presenters will be required to register for the Conference and pay the applicable registration fee (see Fee Schedule).

Publication

All abstracts that are accepted for presentation at the 2013 OHTN Research Conference by the Primary Presenting Author will be published as an online supplement to the official conference program and posted on the OHTN website.
  • Consent to publish e-posters online after the Conference will be sought at the time posters are uploaded
  • Consent to publish oral abstract presentations online after the Conference will be sought at the time that presentations are submitted to the Speaker Ready Room at the OHTN Research Conference
