This course is designed to support family physicians and nurse practitioners in confidently managing HIV in a primary care setting, following a positive HIV diagnosis. The focus is on practical, evidence-based care that aligns with current guidelines and real-world primary care workflows.\u00a0
Advances in antiretroviral therapy have transformed HIV into a manageable chronic condition. Most people living with HIV can now expect a near-normal life expectancy when treatment is initiated early and maintained consistently. Primary care plays a critical role in ensuring timely treatment, prevention of complications, and continuity of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
