The focus is on practical, evidence-based care that aligns with current guidelines and real-world primary care workflows.\u00a0<br>Advances in antiretroviral therapy have transformed HIV into a manageable chronic condition. Most people living with HIV can now expect a near-normal life expectancy when treatment is initiated early and maintained consistently. Primary care plays a critical role in ensuring timely treatment, prevention of complications, and continuity of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Objectives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct an effective initial visit following a positive HIV test.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Order and interpret baseline investigations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Initiate first-line antiretroviral therapy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide ongoing monitoring, preventative care and follow-up care.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modules:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul healthcare providers who work with families affected by HIV, including but not limited to general practitioners, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, clinical social workers and psychologists, public
