HIV Positive Capacity Building: Reclaiming our Confidence, by James Watson Congratulations to James Watson, Project Coordinator of Positive Spaces Healthy Places, a longitudinal research study assessing the impact of housing instability on the health related quality of life of people with HIV in Ontario. James’ article, HIV Positive Capacity Building: Reclaiming our Confidence, was published in the July 2009 edition of HIV Australia.  CIHR Rising Star Award: Michael Wilson Congratulations to Michael Wilson, Associate Scientist in Knowledge Transfer and Exchange. Michael is a recipient of the 2009 Rising Star award of the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR) of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Progress in Ending the US Travel Ban for People with HIV People with HIV who wanted to attend the First North American Housing and HIV Research Summit in Washington, DC in June 2009, had to contend with the US travel ban. The restrictions provided an opportunity for event organizers to meet with senior US officials to discuss their impact on delegates and presenters. Since then, progress has been made.
