Scientific Steering Committee

The Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) is composed of the Principal Investigators of the OCS Sites or their delegates, the Chair of the OCS Governance Committee and two community members.

The purpose of this committee is to:

  • Establish and periodically update the principal aims and objectives of the OCS research agenda in consultation with the OCS Governance Committee and other OHTN stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external researchers at the provincial, national, and international level to promote the activities of the OCS research agenda
  • Facilitate the use of the OCS by the research community
  • Promote the use of the OCS for community-based research

SSC Working Groups

The Scientific Steering Committee has also established working groups to focus in on the following specific areas of research:

The membership of each working group is comprised of clinicians and investigators from OCS Sites, researchers from across the province and community members; all with a particular interest in issues related to the focus of the group.
