OHTN Cohort Study
The OHTN Cohort Study (OCS) is a community-governed, multi-site research study that collects clinical and
socio-behavioural information voluntarily from people with HIV across Ontario. Results of this study will help to improve:
- Our understanding of HIV
- HIV treatment strategies
- Access to care and treatment for people with HIV

A Snapshot of the OSC Data
Currently, the OCS has over 2,000 active participants from across Ontario, of which:
- 79% are over the age of 40
- 60% are MSM
- 35% live in Toronto
- 79% have received HAART
- 63% have an undetectable viral load
- 23% have had drug resistance testing

OCS Partners
OCS partners with the following studies to address HIV research questions that cannot be accomplished through smaller cohorts:
- NA-ACCORD (North American AIDS Cohort Collaboration on Research and Design)
- CANOC (the Canadian Cohort Collaboration)
