The North American HIV and Housing Research Summit - Call for Abstracts

The National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) and the Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN), in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, are pleased to convene the fifth Housing and HIV/AIDS Research Summit. The theme of the 2010 Summit is Evidence into Action: Housing is HIV Prevention and Care, with a focus on evidence-based policy and practice that targets housing as a key social determinant of HIV risk and health outcomes.  Summit organizers invite abstracts that reflect this theme.

Sommet nord-américain de recherche sur le logement et le VIH/sida – Appel d’Abrégés

La National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) et l’Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN), en collaboration  avec la Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, sont heureux d’organiser le cinquième Sommet de recherche sur le logement et le VIH/sida. Le thème du Sommet de 2010 est « Des preuves vers l’action : le logement fait partie de la prévention et des soins »; il met l’accent sur des politiques et pratiques fondées sur les preuves et données, en ciblant le logement comme un des principaux déterminants sociaux du risque lié au VIH, et des résultats de santé.  Les organisateurs lancent un appel de propositions d’abrégés liés à ce theme.

From Governance to Community Based Research: A Educational Conference Call on CIHR’s Citizen Engagement Plan

Learn more about citizen engagement at the Canadian Institutes for Health Research in this Educational Conference Call Series on Building Community Research Capacity entitled From Governance to Community Based Research on January 13, 2010 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.  Participants will learn about CIHR's Citizen Engagement Framework and how it is being implemented at various agency, institute and funding program levels. A community-based research housing study funded through CIHR entitled Positive Spaces, Healthy Places: An Innovative Community-Academic-Policy Partnership will be presented.
