International AIDS Society 2010 Conference: Call for Abstracts Due February 10

The International AIDS Society and its partners are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the 18th International AIDS Conference, Rights Here, Right Now, on July 18 to 23, 2010, in Vienna, Austria. AIDS 2010 will underscore the protection of human rights as a fundamental prerequisite to an effective response to HIV. The deadline to submit an abstract is Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Casey House: HIV and Criminal Law Seminar on February 25

As part of its HIV/AIDS and Mental Health educational series, Casey House will present a learning seminar on “HIV and Criminal Law in Canada” on Thursday, February 25, 2010. The event will provide health care professionals and service providers with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the implications of criminal law and HIV. The North American HIV and Housing Research Summit - Call for Abstracts Due March 1


The National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) and the Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN), in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, are pleased to convene the fifth Housing and HIV/AIDS Research Summit. The theme of the 2010 Summit is Evidence into Action: Housing is HIV Prevention and Care, with a focus on evidence-based policy and practice that targets housing as a key social determinant of HIV risk and health outcomes. Summit organizers invite abstracts that reflect this theme.

Canadian Association of HIV Research – Red Ribbon Award Nominations Due April 1, 2010

The Canadian Association of HIV Research (CAHR) is accepting nominations for the 2010 Red Ribbon Award to be awarded at the CAHR Annual Conference in May 2010. The Award is given to an individual who has given outstanding service to the cause of research to increase understanding of the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, and to enhance the quality of life of people with HIV.
