OHTN RESEARCH CONFERENCE 

Scholarship Deadline Extended: Tuesday, October 11, 2011  

 

The OHTN provides assistance to ensure all stakeholder groups are able to attend our conference, November 14-15, 2011.

    

Who can apply for a Conference Scholarship?

 

> Residents of Ontario (required)

> People living with HIV/AIDS

> Consumers of community-based HIV/AIDS services and programs

> Frontline volunteers or staff members in community-based HIV/AIDS service provider organizations

> Post-secondary students enrolled in studies/courses/fields related to HIV/AIDS

  


UP TO $25,000 AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY-BASED HIV/AIDS ORGANIZATIONS

CBR Capacity Building Fund: Apply by October 17, 12:00pm

 

This award is to enhance the capacity of Community-Based HIV/AIDS Organizations and people living with HIV/AIDS to participate in the Community Based Review process.

Health Research Improves Lives across the World - November 15, 2011, 9:00am 

 

This session at the 2011 OHTN Conference will showcase emerging health researchers that contribute to social justice in research. Five UWW Fellows and five trainees from The CIHR International Infectious Diseases and Global Health Training Program - Four Continents - One Shared Experience (directed by Dr. Keith Fowke, U of Manitoba) in Winnipeg - Bangalore, Nairobi and Medellin will be beamed in to present five slides in five minutes.

ACT WOMEN'S PEER NETWORK SURVEY

The Women's Peer Network is aimed at connecting HIV-positive women across Ontario through online, telephone, and in-person services. WPN will include programming such as peer support, counselling, workshop and training opportunities, support and discussion groups, and help you build and mobilize outreach and advocacy for HIV-positive women in your region.
