THE OHTN ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!

Will we see you there?

In addition to our distinguished keynote speakers at RC2011, we are also pleased to offer you over 150 oral abstract and poster presentations. There is a wealth of information waiting for you at RC2011!

Meet and exchange ideas with colleagues, practitioners, front-line workers, basic scientists, policy makers and others in the community. Share your stories, practices and experiences and enjoy our Special Sessions!

We hope to see you there November 14th and 15th!

CAFE SCIENTIFIQUE - HIV: A QUEST FOR A CURE

November 15th at 7:00 pm

In 2007, Timothy Brown - a man living with HIV - received stem cell treatment for leukemia that "cured" his HIV. Five years later, he is still HIV free. His treatment can't be used with others but it raises a key question: is a cure for HIV possible?

All panellists, including Timothy Brown and many other researchers will be a part of the 2011 OTHN Research Conference, while the Caf is looking to provide a more relaxed discussion about the possibility of a cure for HIV that is open to the community.

Join us! Be part of the discussion.

Space is limited, so please RSVP to Greg Mitchell.

PRE-REGISTRATION FOR TEA TIME AT OHTN CONFERENCE

For women living with HIV

Who wouldn't want to go to a fancy tea party in the middle of a big research conference? Tea Time will be fun, informative and totally different than any of the other OHTN events. There will be fine china, silverware and vintage tablecloths.

Tea Time: Building Communities of Women Living with HIV is an event that will introduce the idea of tea parties as a community-based research methodology. During this tea party Jessica Whitbread, a young WLHIV and budding researcher, will share her knowledge about creative ways to bridge the gaps between community building and research through this innovative methodology.

Jessica is also a Universities Without Walls (UWW) Fellow this year and they have recently done a Profile of her. Take a look and if her words inspire you to take part in the Tea Time at the conference, please make sure you RSVP.
