Health Care Provider Learning Institute
The OHTN will host its first Clinical Research Summer Learning Institute in 2009. The goal of this event is to bring together medical students enrolled in Ontario universities with community, clinical and academic mentors to support learning in community-relevant HIV clinical practice and research.
The event will enhance students’ ability to respond effectively to HIV and its biological and social consequences with an emphasis on working with interdisciplinary teams. Students will be matched with community members and health care providers from their region to enhance the opportunities for future knowledge exchange and partnerships.
