Scientific Review Committee

The Scientific Review Committee evaluates all investigator driven research proposals for scientific merit and relevance to OHTN objectives using a rigorous peer-review process.

The primary role of the Scientific Review Committee is to:

  • Evaluate applications submitted for competition
  • Rate applications and rank them in order of priority
  • Recommend that the Board of Directors fund the successful applicants

The committee consists of Canadian and international scientists from all disciplines relating to HIV, as well as community members experienced in HIV research to ensure that the research is relevant to community needs.
